Also tell to your children to stay away from the kitchen while you are cleaning the oven. Next remove the oven racks and dip them in your sink which you have aforetime filled with a mixture or warm water and dishwashing liquid. Now switch on the self cleaning function of your oven. During the self cleaning your oven will reach temperatures which are over 400 degrees Celsius and will remain heated between 2 to 6 hours in dependence on how dirty is your oven. Once the cleaning cycle is done, leave the oven to cool for a couple of hours and then sweep out the ashes with a small brush. Once the baking soda had dissolved in the water, pour the cleaning solution in a spray bottle and apply it on the oven. Allow the cleaning solution to sit for at least an hour before your commence to wipe the oven. If your homemade cleaning detergent hasn’t removed some carbon residues use a scraper to remove them and reapply the cleaning solution. Next wipe the oven clean and apply a solution of half vinegar and half water and once wipe the oven. End the cleaning by putting the oven racks in place and wiping the oven door.
